Commercial SCUBA Diver (IDSA Level 1)

If you want to start working as a professional diver, usually under adverse conditions such as cold, murky, sometimes polluted waters, with frequent and distant travel, you must first acquire all the necessary knowledge and practice in various specialties to be able to join the community of professional divers.

With the IDSA diploma, internationally recognized, which only HECODIA in Greece is authorized to issue, you are given the unique opportunity to work worldwide as a professional diver, usually with quite high earnings. However, you must be properly trained by professional instructors to gain both theoretical knowledge and succeed in practical training and exams.

Prerequisites.

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent physical condition, including comfort in water, swimming 200 meters without swimming aids or buoyancy, or swimming 300 meters using a mask, snorkel, and fins, and floating in deep water for 10 minutes without any swimming aids or buoyancy. During this exercise, the face must remain out of the water.
• Be healthy and fit for diving, as evidenced by a related certificate from a hyperbaric doctor.
• Application.

Course Duration

After 5 weeks of theoretical training, practical exercises, and success in written exams, you will be capable of safe diving using open circuit self-contained breathing apparatus. You will have a working knowledge of the following tasks: basic rigging, use of lift bags, diver search techniques, use of hand tools, and visual inspection. These are included in the IDSA professional SCUBA diver diploma (IDSA Level 1).

Course Duration

After completing the theoretical training, practical skill exercises, and passing the written exams, you will receive a First Aid at Work certificate.
