Surface Supplied Inshore Air Diver (Level 2)

Advanced level training in the use and evaluation of air diving equipment supported from the surface and for simple land/shore work, at a maximum operational depth of 30 meters. This diploma "Surface Supplied Inshore Air Diver (Level 2)" is fully recognized abroad by international organizations and companies/individuals undertaking such work and seeking divers of the appropriate level.

Prerequisites.

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Be in excellent physical condition, able to remain on the surface for 15 minutes without using any aids or buoyancy. Able to swim 700 meters without stopping within 20 minutes using a mask, fins, and snorkel. Or swim 375 meters without stopping and without using a mask, fins, snorkel, or other swimming aids. Able to swim underwater for 25 meters using a mask and fins. And able to perform a full rescue of an unconscious diver over a total distance of 100 meters within eight (8) minutes.
• Be fit for diving, as evidenced by a related certificate from a hyperbaric doctor.
• Be already a holder of the Commercial SCUBA Diver (IDSA Level 1) diploma.

Course Duration

You will receive theoretical training in the use and operation of surface-supplied diving equipment from different training positions as a diver, assistant, and caretaker.

You will learn the use and operation of different types of tools, with simple and complex practical exercises and simple tasks. After 5 weeks of training, you will be able to safely dive both inland and on land using open-circuit self-contained breathing air and surface-supported air equipment. You will have worked on Level 1 tasks as well as hyperbaric chamber operations, use of electric tools, thermal arc cutting equipment, wet welding, lift bags, and simple underwater construction tasks.

You will have learned the principles of bolt guns, explosives, and diving in polluted waters. And finally, upon passing the written exams, you can obtain the diploma "Surface Supplied Inshore Air Diver (Level 2)", fully recognized abroad.
